I recently traveled on a missions trip back in June to Dominican Republic. There I had the opportunity to share Christ with others and give a short message. After not being able to sleep the night before I journaled what God was saying to me to tell His people.
Somehow i think of a plant that need constant water everyday. This is a special plant that needs tender, love and care. Daily nourishment is a must. This plant is so special it needs to be talked to or it will feel neglected. With all the love, this plant can become strong. This plant represents with our relationship with Christ. We often think that coming to church and sitting in the pews is enough. Internalizing the message is was feeds us our nourishment but for that day. We are special beings that need daily nourishment just like the plant. Our relationship with Christ is a everyday thing. We are fed by His word and watered by His grace; in constant communication with Him throughout the the day (praying). Im here to encourage you if you don't know Christ personally already, today is your opportunity to receive the best gift ever. Don't know him through association but through personification. Don't let this be mere information but a revelation in your life.
John 3:16 says; For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
All the mistakes you made doesn't matter. God wants it all today. Allow Him to come into your heart right now. Allow Christ to water you with His grace. You will never be thirsty again.
