The One Who Saves.......

Christianity is not a feel good doctrine
You don't just come to Christ and think that every problem you had before Christ will go away Christianity is built on the God sacrificing is Son so that we may live in eternity for better days in the heaven moons, suns, moonlight.
Perseverance is a must to fight through it all with Gods trust
Those problems, situations that you once had, with God's adoration you'll defeat any complication just put your faith in Him
Just repent of your sin by believing in Him
As Christians we should be compelled to do our part
Deny ourselves daily when we follow the King everlasting arms
Please don't ask God to take your problems away but ask God to help you get through them and learn what He needs you to learn so that you may learn of His grace

What is Christianity?
Christ loved us first, he died for our sins so that we wouldn't have to endure torment of hell....He loved us first.
Christianity is your own personal relationship with Jesus Christ that is built on reading the Word, praying in faith, fellowshipping with believers, and witnessing to the world.

I'm Ready for You

This was actually written in August 2010

Most people my age want to fall in love if they haven't already. Oh the joys of just being head over heels. Singing love songs, cuddling, touching each other every second they have a chance. Going to the movies, going out to eat, walking in the park, reading to each other or whatever thing you do significant other. By reading the title of this you probably think well I guess this is going to be about me being more than ready to do those things too. My life is actually kind of different. I took the hard road early and had to learn from past mistakes that dating carelessly is not fun at all. For now, I have given the "dating scene" a break and will continue to focus more on God than ever been before. In past relationships I would have this conversations with God, Like you know I love you God but I love my boyfriend and were going to come to church one day. And I know we shouldn't be doing the things we are doing but he said were going to get married as soon as we can afford it." I reasoned and reasoned with God about my lifestyle that wasn't glorifying him I finally surrendered it all to him.
So finally, doing things right and being content in my singleness.

Trip Lee - Self Examination

2 Corinthians 13:5
Test yourselves to make sure you are solid in the faith. Don’t drift along taking everything for granted. Give yourselves regular checkups. You need firsthand evidence, not mere hearsay, that Jesus Christ is in you. Test it out. If you fail the test, do something about it.

Lemuel

Lemuel means devoted to God or belonging to God. This word is only referenced in the bible in passages Proverbs 31:1,4

I read Proverbs 31 yesterday and I had the urgency to just to collect my thoughts on this chapter. There is so much to learn from this chapter collectively on how women of God should walk on a day to day basis.

I fear You because you die for me
I fear You because you created this world, the universe in six days only to rest on the 7th fulfilling all destiny.

My actions exemplify this fear as I draw you near in everything I do. My life I owe it all to You.
Steadfast on your Word and constantly praying to you on bending knees. Everyday I strive to walk with you because you are all I need.
As I'm walking down the street and the wind hits me, I know its you embracing me like the wind moon breeze.
As I'm riding in the car with my Jesus music on blast I exalt you. Every part of life you are there.

I fear You because without you there wouldn't be a me. Non-existent you see...just incomplete...

You are my God that fulfills all thats destine to be. Overjoyed... my King. You instilled in me a strong woman of God, confident, worth more than rubies. I am priceless my soul cannot be bought nothing will ever subdue because I only look to have joy in you...and just the thought brings tears to my eyes the gift of salvation cannot be denied.

You are my God that allows me to be. I am submissive to others willingly, serving others openly, to you I give most high the glory. The glory of it all!!!!! Your my King and I am your Proverbs 31 Woman fulfilling your destiny.

Material Girl

Just throw it in the bag...I want it all.

I like nice things. I mean I really really really really can't help myself sometimes. I buy buy buy anything I like from shoes, clothes, purses, without the impulse of thinking. It pulls me in every time like I'm hypnotized. What am I going to get next? Thats cute!!! Thats cute too....man I gotta have that.

Awakening......by Hebrews 13:5, "Don’t be obsessed with getting more material things. Be relaxed with what you have. Since God assured us, “I’ll never let you down, never walk off and leave you,”"

Yes!!! That is deep. I'm thinking to myself like hold up God...wait a minute; Are you trying to tell me I can't be fly so effortlessly? God is not necessarily saying I can't have nice this but I shouldn't be consumed by nice things either. After reading, I ignored the passage and went on with life. Then this week God spoke to me about financial management. My big bro was firm and helped me to understand how important it is to be a better steward with my money. I appreciate having him in my life because he made me realize that all those nice things will be there but having a savings account and being prepared for rough times is important. So starting next paycheck is my journey to tithing and saving.

To help me with this goal I will be using www.mint.com to help track what I spend and what I am saving.

Fighting Temptation

It was not too long ago I read a passage from Jeanne Mayo blog and have been pondering on it ever since. "Accept your share of moral responsibility for purity. Don’t ask the Lord to take temptation away when you don’t want to walk away from temptation inviters."

Then weeks later I stumble across this passage in the bible that intertwined with the quote above.

He said to his disciples, “Hard trials and temptations are bound to come, but too bad for whoever brings them on!
Luke 17:1(MSG)

And sign after sign I read an insert from Joshua Harris, "We can only attain righteousness by doing two things-destroying sin in its embryonic stage and fleeing temptation."

So to conclude "Fighting Temptation" is not easy and sometimes it can be a day by day fight. But I know God is on my side to the very end and I trust that he'll subdue these temptations.
